Control Cult Request entry

Receive the faith.

It has two parts: one on the computer you play on, and one you talk to, usually your phone. You need a license code or an invite code.

  1. Install it where you play

    This part sits next to Steam. It sees which game and controller you're using, and changes your layout when you ask. It runs in the background and starts by itself.

    Windows PC

    Download and run the installer. It asks for your code, then shows a code to pair your phone.

    If Windows says "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway. To remove it later: Settings → Apps → Control Cult → Uninstall.

    Steam Deck

    1. Switch to Desktop Mode (Steam button → Power → Switch to Desktop) and open controlcult.com/download there.
    2. Download Control Cult for Steam Deck and open the file. Discover opens it: click Install, then Launch.
    3. Enter your code, then go back to Gaming Mode.

    Setup offers to add a Control Cult panel to the Deck's ••• menu. That also installs Decky Loader, a separate community project, and setup walks you through it. Already using Decky? In its settings, turn on Developer mode, choose Install plugin from URL and enter https://app.controlcult.com/download/decky.zip.

    Setting up another computer?

    Use the same license code on each of your PCs and Steam Decks; they all join your account. With an invite instead, open Control Cult's menu on your phone, choose Your devices, and use the code it gives you.

  2. Pick how you talk to it

    This is where you talk to Noob Deity, by voice or by typing, see your controller and undo changes. A phone works best: your hands stay on the controller and the game stays on screen.

    Pairing in step 3 opens it for you. Then use your browser's Add to Home Screen to keep it like an app. Works on iPhone and Android.

  3. Connect them

    At the end of step 1, your computer shows a pairing code. Scan it with your phone, or open controlcult.com/pair on your phone and type it. Then start a game and say what you want.

    Need the code again? Windows: right-click the Control Cult icon by the clock and choose Pair a phone. Steam Deck: open Control Cult from the app menu in Desktop Mode.
